Abstract:

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a fuel injection device and to reduce vibration and noise caused by rotation of an engine by providing a controller which delivers a drive signal at a predetermined time in the pressurizing stroke by a plunger.

CONSTITUTION: A controller 17 produces a closing output power at a predetermined time in the pressurizing stroke by a plunger 26. With this arrangement, a fuel injection device can make injection at a high fuel feed rate in a low rotational speed range under a low load, and accordingly, it is possible to enhance the output power in a low speed range. Meanwhile, the degree of spark advance is increased in a high rotational speed range under high load so that the fuel injection can be made at a low fuel feed rate in order to prevent excessive fuel injection, and accordingly, it is possible to enhance the durability of the fuel injection device and the engine, and to reduce vibration and noise caused by the rotation of the engine. In particular, the fuel injection device can eliminate the necessity of a hydraulic timer, a spill ring and a governor, thereby it is possible to miniaturize the fuel injection device.
