Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the pilot injection quantity of a liquid fuel to the minimum thermodynamic amount irrelative to the manufacturing precision of an injector pump and the size of a sprayer in a diesel internal combustion engine using a gas main fuel and a liquid secondary fuel in the form of a pilot injection to initiate combustion of the main fuel.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid fuel is injected by an injector pump designed to enable an engine to achieve its maximum power with the liquid fuel only. The pilot injection uses a mixture of water and liquid fuel in a ratio such that the pilot injection can initiate combustion.
