Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve volume efficiency and engine output by setting the fuel injection completion period to the time after the start of the opening of an intake valve and designing the injection completion period to cover the negative pressure period an intake pipe in the first half part of the intake valve opening in an engine of a type injecting gaseous fuel into the intake port.
SOLUTION: High pressure gaseous fuel filled in both high pressure fuel tanks 1, 2 is fed via both pipes 3, 4, a tank gas detection part 5, a pipe 6, the first solenoid valve 7, and both primary and secondary regulators 8, 9 and injected from an injector 12 to an intake port 13. In this case, when the fuel injection is completed in the first half part of the intake valve opening period, the injection period covers the positive pressure period of an intake pipe before opening of the intake valve so that the volume efficiency is reduced and output is also reduced. On the other hand, when the fuel injection is completed in the latter half part of the intake valve opening period, the injection period covers the negative pressure period of the intake pipe in the front half of the intake valve opening so that the volume efficiency is improved and the output is also improved. Therefor, the fuel injection completion period is set after the opening of the intake valve.
