Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce a check area subjected to a lift pressure to correct reduction in a spring load on the check by providing both a tip with internal seat having a first inner angle and a dual angle needle check slidably disposed in a nozzle assembly.

CONSTITUTION: In this nozzle, an end part 82 of a dual angle check 78 has a nearly truncated cone shape with a round tip 100, while having a tangent circle 102 for contacting with a seat part 64 in a first position, i.e., a seated position. A first truncated cone part 104 of the end part 82 is tapered and has a small diameter toward the inside of the tangent circle 102 such that the first truncated cone part 104 has a larger inner angle A than an inner angle B of the seat part 64. A second truncated cone part 106 of the end part 82 of the check 78 is tapered toward the outside of the tangent circle 102 such that the second truncated cone part 106 has a smaller inner angle C than the inner angle B of the seat part 64. When a fuel pressure in an injection chamber 72 falls, a spring acts on the check 78 to return the check 78 to the seated position so that injection from an injection orifice 68 is rapidly terminated.
