Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the structural volume of a fuel injection pump and simplify the structure thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection pump has a fuel quantity regulating mechanism (ring slide) 12 which is acted upon by a regulating lever 15 of a governor. The regulating lever is acted upon by a speed adjusting spring 20 and an idling spring unit 21. A stop for delimiting the maximum quantity of fuel injected during full-load operation for the regulating lever is arranged at an end of a lever arm of a full-load regulating lever 33 which is pivotably mounted on an axle 35. The full-load regulating lever 33 is acted upon by a regulating member 36 of a regulating motor 38. The maximum quantity of fuel injected is varied in dependence upon the operating parameters of an internal combustion engine. An idling regulating lever 55 which adjusts the quantity of fuel injected during idling operation in dependence upon the operating parameters of the internal combustion engine and cooperates with the idling spring unit is pivotably mounted on the axle 35.
