To provide a fuel injection pump capable of preventing the sticking of an armature due to solidification of low-quality oil.
A fuel injection pump 1 has an electromagnetic spill valve 20, wherein the electromagnetic spill valve 20 further includes a spill valve element 24, an electromagnetic valve body 21 into which the spill valve element 24 is slidably inserted, an armature 247 which is provided to one end of the spill valve element 24 and formed of a magnetic body, a solenoid 23 which is arranged on one side of the electromagnetic valve body 21 and produces a magnetic force attracting the armature 247 to slide the spill valve element 24, a spacer 22 which is provided between the solenoid 23 and the electromagnetic valve body 21, an armature chamber 221 which is formed in the spacer 22 to accommodate the armature 247 therein, a cleaning oil inlet 222 which contains a cleaning oil inlet pipe 27A for feeding cleaning oil to the armature chamber 221, and a cleaning oil outlet 223 with a cleaning oil outlet pipe 27B attached for discharging a cleaning oil after cleaning the armature chamber 221.
