Abstract:

To provide a fuel injection pump which can reduce lubricating oil mixed into fuel oil by reducing the lubricating oil reaching a tappet.

In a fuel injection pump 1A which reciprocates a plunger 5 by the rotation of a cam 15 accommodated in a cam chamber 16 via a tappet 30 and pressure-sends fuel, there is arranged a fold 40A for damming the lubricating oil Lo which is pumped up by the rotation of the cam 15 at the wall face 16a of the cam chamber 16. The fold 40A is formed at a face at the upstream side of a cam shaft 19 in the rotation direction at a folding member 41 which is protruded from the wall face 16a of the cam chamber 16 toward the radial inside of the cam shaft 19.
