Abstract:

To provide a technique for preventing an engine from not starting because dew condensation occurs and dew is frozen in a fuel injection pump.

The fuel injection pump comprises a pump body and a hydraulic head, and is driven by an engine. During operating the engine, a temperature of the hydraulic head is increased to not less than a dew point temperature. Thereby, during operating the engine, the temperature of the hydraulic head is risen, so that moisture in the fuel injection pump can be removed. Accordingly, the engine can be prevented from not starting because dew condensation occurs and dew is frozen in the fuel injection pump.
