Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump capable of making a deflector be hardly broken in being fixed to a pump body, and elongating a service life of the deflector.SOLUTION: In a fuel injection pump 1, a pump body 11 is provided with a barrel 12 in which a pressurization chamber 17 is formed, and further provided with a fuel supply/discharge chamber 11c composed of an outer peripheral face of the barrel 12 and an inner peripheral face of the pump body 11, and a fuel supply/discharge hole 12d communicating the pressurization chamber with the fuel supply/discharge chamber 11c, and a tip portion of a deflector 30 faces the fuel supply/discharge hole 12d. The deflector 30 has a structure that a shaft portion 32a is formed on one of the tip portion 32 and a fixed portion 31, a shaft hole 31b is formed on the another, and the tip portion 32 is mounted on the fixed portion 31 by inserting the shaft portion 32a into the shaft hole 31b. The tip portion 32 and the fixed portion 31 are composed of materials different in characteristics.
