Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce dispersion of fuel injection quantities between all the cylinders by equalizing fuel leak route at leaking fuel in order to complete appropriate fuel injection for applying to a diesel engine.
CONSTITUTION: Plungers 94a, 94b are inserted into the pump chamber 91 of a rotor 90. A cam ring having a plurality of cams on the inner circumferential face is arranged on the outer circumferences of the plungers 94a, 94b. A cylinder holding the rotor 90 is provided with a fuel feed passage 101, a fuel discharge passage 102, and a fuel leak passage 103. The rotor 90 is provided with fuel suction ports 92 and distribution ports 93 respectively communicating the fuel feed passage 101 and the fuel discharge passage 102 at the prescribed rotation angles, and an annular groove 95 always communicating to the fuel leak passage 102. A plurality of fuel outflow passages 93 are provided for communicating together the annular groove 95 and the pump chamber 91 at a plurality of positions.
