Title:
FUEL INJECTION PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3812695
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump capable of preventing the breakage of a spring for a fuel control valve in a simple structure and supplying a preset pressure of fuel to a fuel pressure means.
SOLUTION: An inlet port 36, a relief port 37 and a damper port 38 are arranged in a cylinder 31 in sequence in such a direction that a piston 32 is subjected to discharge pressure of a fuel feed pump. The discharge pressure of the fuel feed pump to which the piston 32 is subjected from the inlet port 36 is applied to the piston 32 in the oppositie direction of the energizing force of the spring 33. When the relief port 37 is almost fully open, the damper port begins to be closed and, when the damper port 38 is closed with the movement of the piston 32, a spring room 39a is sealed and formed into a damper room. Even if pressure pulsation of great variation occurs on the discharge side of the fuel feed pump, the movement of the piston 32 to the spring side is restricted, so that the breakage of the spring 33 due to overcompression can be prevented.
