Title:
FUEL INJECTION PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3838778
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a good sealing performance of a fuel injection pump for a long period of time by reducing the wear of an O-ring which is set between a pump body and a plunger barrel.
SOLUTION: A fuel injection pump is structured so that an O-ring 11 is set between a pump body 1 and a plunger barrel 2 for preventing the fuel in a gallery chamber 8 in communication with a pump chamber 3 from leaking through the gap between the pump body 1 and the plunger barrel 2 fitted therein, wherein a damper ring 20 for suppressing a pulsated pressure from inside the plunger barrel 2 acting on the O-ring 11 is interposed between the pump body 1 and plunger barrel 2.
