PURPOSE: To provide a simple and convenient fuel injection pump by forming a means that supplies fuel to a bore to actuate outward a pumping plungex slidably mounted in the bore, and forming a valve means for controlling fuel exhaust quantity from outlet.

CONSTITUTION: During inward movement of a plunger 9 from a cam projection part, and during passage 15 matching with outlet 16 or inlet 7, the fuel is supplied to a bore to actuate the plunger 9 outward. And the outward movement of the plunger 9 is limited by a stopper means or inner surface of a cam ring 8. And during a valve member 19 seating at valve seat 18, a passage 26 is connected to a space by limit passage 27 of a control valve. Therefore, while an actuator is forced, the other end of the cylinder is connected to the space and head 20 of the valve member 19 is seated on the seat 18 by a spring 21. As the valve member 19 is lifted from the seat 18 by fuel pressure while the actuator is not forced, the pressure of other end of the cylinder actuates the valve member 19 highly enough against the spring 21, the valve member 19 is kept open. In this manner the member 19 controls the pressure of the bore.
