PURPOSE: To electronically control the injection-amount and injection timing easily by controlling the injection timing by a metering solenoid valve installed into a feeding passage and controlling the injection amount by a control piston for releasing the pressure in a pressurizing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A metering solenoid valve 9 is installed into a fuel feeding passage 10 connected to the pressurizing chamber 7 in a rotor 1, and fuel is metered according to the control signal supplied from a control unit. A control port 16 communicating to the center hole 14 of the rotor 1 is allowed to communicate to he outer peripheral surface of a control piston 18 through the fixed passage 17 of a sleeve 11, and when a solenoid valve 20 is closed after a prescribed amount is jetted-out, the control piston 18 shifts leftward, overwhelming a load spring 24, and pressurized fuel is discharged. Thus, since the injection starting time is controlled by the metering solenoid valve 9 and the fuel injection amount is controlled by the control piston 18, easy electronic control can be achieved.
