Abstract:
To simplify a structure, especially around a cylinder head, without requiring positioning by a fork and the like when an injector 2 is secured to the cylinder head.
Multiple injectors 2 forming a cylinder bank are substantially directly connected through adopters 2 to a common rail (fuel rail) 6 where high pressure fuel is supplied. Each injector 2 is connected to the common rail 6 by a knock pin (positioning pin) 7 at a position off an axis X to position both parts 6, 2 about the axis X. Each injector 2 is thereby positioned in a circumferential direction of the axis X relative to the cylinder head with each injector 2 fitted into a mounting hole of the cylinder head.
