PURPOSE: To secure a favorable fuel injection system that generates a pilot flame by way of connecting an in-line type fuel injection pump for main injection and a distributor type fuel injection pump for pilot injection each to a fuel injection nozzle, and forming a face cam of this distributor type fuel injection pump into a specified shape.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection nozzle 20 is connected to a pump unit 26 corresponding to an in-line type fuel injection pump 25 through an injection pipe 24 and simultaneously connected to a port corresponding to a distributor type fuel injection pump 70 through another injection pipe 23. In succession, the in-line type fuel injection pump 25 moves a control rack 28 through a mechanical governor 27, regulating a fuel injection quantity. On the other hand, the distributor type fuel injection pump 70 regulates the fuel injection quantity through a centrifugal governor 98. Incidentally, this distributor type fuel injection pump 70 forms a part, corresponding to a stroke at the initial stage in a projection 80 of a face cam 77, in a tangent cam 124 and simultaneously forms a part, corresponding to the subsequent stroke, in a recess cam 125 respectively.
