Abstract:

PURPOSE: To correct a target fuel injection timing according to used fuel so as to enable control to be carried out accurately according to operating condition all the time by providing a control mechanism for regulating fuel pressure acting on a timer piston, and a means or the like for calculating the control amount thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection timing control device for a diesel engine is provided with a means 7 for setting a target timer piston position per used fuel according to operating condition, and a control mechanism 1 for regulating fuel pressure acting on a timer piston. And it is also provided with a means 3 for calculating the control amount of the control mechanism 1 so as to bring the timer piston near a target timer piston position, and a means 4 for setting a regulated value by which used fuel is specified by the volume of a basic control amount in relation to the target timer piston position. And also it is provided with a means 5 for judging viscosity of the used comparing a calculated control amount with this regulated value, and a means 6 for switching the present injection timing to the target injection timing according to judged viscosity of fuel. It is thus possible to maintain the fuel injection timing properly.
