PURPOSE: To improve ignition in a fuel injection type rotary piston engine by constituting same such that fuel is injected to the leading side of a suction operation chamber at a predetermined point of time to attain lamination of suction air.
CONSTITUTION: Within a low load running of the engine up to a preset load A, fuel is injected only from a first injection valve 15 towards the leading side of a suction operation chamber 5a within a range between 90 degrees at the leading side and 60 degrees at the trailing side of the chamber 5a by the angle of an eccentric shaft 12 at a predetermined point of time, that is, at the position of the rotor whereat volume changing ratio of the suction operation chamber 5a is at the greatest. Thus, the injected furl is brought to the leading side of the suction operation chamber 5a together with an accelerated suction air flow to attain lamination thereof, thereby improving ignition of the engine.
