An injection valve member 30 for opening and closing an injection orifice 28 of a valve seat element 22 is mounted within center housing bores 40, 42 of the fuel injection valve 1 so as to be adjustable in the axial direction and is controlled in opening and closing by a control device S1. In control pistons 31, 33 connected to the injection valve member 30, fuel system pressure of a high pressure zone and fuel control pressure and applied. The center housing bores 40, 42 are closed into sealed states by a control body 74 fixed to a housing. Control space is arranged between the control body 74 and a piston end face and temporarily becomes a boundary of the radial direction by a control sleeve 72 movable in the direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis A of the housing. A narrow sliding guide R0 between the control piston part 33 and a control sleeve separates control space from the high pressure zone and forms a precision longitudinal direction guide for control sleeve.
