To provide a cylinder-injection fuel injection valve for injecting fuel directly into a cylinder of an engine while suppressing the formation of deposits to solve the problems with the deposits which cause a change of a fuel injection amount and the non-uniformity of fuel spray with the carbonization and deposition of residing fuel as a result of a portion of the fuel injection valve, facing the cylinder, exposed to combustion gas in the cylinder into a high temperature.
An opening portion of a straightening plate provided in contact wit a nozzle plate having injection nozzles for injection to the cylinder has a plate-thickness-direction cross section wider toward the ends and a plane profile consisting of a plurality of recessed portions opposed to the plurality of injection nozzles arranged most outside.
