To improve an exhaust emission in an internal combustion engine by providing a mechanism which can change fuel splay characteristics.

This fuel injection valve comprises: a valve seat member 7 provided with a valve seat part to which a valve element 3 is seated; and a nozzle plate 8 arranged to a downstream side of the valve seat member 7 and formed with a plurality of nozzle holes 8a. In the fuel injection valve, the nozzle plate 8 is separated from the valve seat member 7 by deforming a deformation member 51 depending on a temperature condition. By displacement of the nozzle plate 8, a space shape between the valve seat member 7 and the nozzle plate 8 is changed thereby changing a splay angle.
