To provide a fuel injection valve which can improve productivity when a valve element is assembled by being directed in a regular direction, and can avoid a malfunction that the valve element is assembled without being directed in the regular direction.
A restraint means 32 is provided which regulates a rotation range of the valve element 17 with respect to an armature 21. The restraint means 32 is formed by engagement between a restraint recess 33 and a restraint protrusion 34. The restraint recess 33 is in the center of the bottom 30 of a storage recess 26, and the restraint protrusion 34 is placed on the different side from the blocking surface 25 of the valve element 17. The rotation range of the valve element 17 is determined by a restraint clearance between the restraint recess 33 and the restraint protrusion 34. The restraint clearance is larger than an accommodation clearance . By fitting the restraint recess and the restraint protrusion to each other, the valve element 17 can be easily assembled in the regular direction, and an error that the blocking surface 25 is improperly assembled to damage the seating surface of the valve seat member can be avoided. Thus, an operation failure can be avoided.
