To provide a fuel injection valve for applying a proper damper action to a needle part that is switchably operated for fuel injection, in the fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine.
The fuel injection valve includes: an injection valve body having a fuel injection hole for injecting fuel of the internal combustion engine; a fuel chamber, which is formed inside the injection valve body, and which communicates with the fuel injection hole; a fuel passage for supplying the fuel to the fuel chamber; and the needle part, which is movably arranged in the axial direction inside the injection valve body, and which opens and closes the fuel injection hole. The fuel injection valve is provided with: a damper chamber, which communicates with the fuel passage, and the volume of which is varied according to the switching action of the fuel injection hole of the needle part to thereby apply the damper action to the needle part through the fuel from the fuel passage; and a flow path resistance variable means for changing the resistance to the movement of the fuel between the damper chamber and the fuel passage according to the switching action of the needle part.
