PURPOSE: To use steam effectively by constituting a fuel injector suitable for a gas turbine engine with a main body portion having manifolds for liquid fuel and gas fuel respectively and a steam injector disposed upstream thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injector 18 provided with a number of fuel chambers of a gas turbine engine comprises a main body portion 19 and a steam injector 20 disposed upstream thereof. The main body portion 19 has two annular passageways 22, 23 coaxial with a central axis 21. A manifold 29 for liquid fuel is formed in an intermediate body 26 defining an inner annular passageway 22 with a central body 24. Besides, a manifold 34 for gas fuel is formed in an outer body 31 defining an outer annular passageway 23 with the intermediate body 26. The steam injector 20 has an annular manifold 38 arranged adjacent to an upstream end 36 of the main body portion 19. Outlets 44, 45 of the manifold abut the upstream end of the annular passageways 22, 23.
