To provide an fuel level system for an automobile, preventing erroneous indication of a fuel gauge caused by contact resistance of a contact part to more accurately notify a driver of fuel residual amount information.
This fuel level system for the automobile has: a level transmission unit 100 provided inside a fuel tank of the automobile; the fuel gauge 300; and a resistor 120 provided inside or outside the level transmission unit 100 of the fuel level system so as to increase current flowing through the contact part of the level transmission unit 100. Thereby, because the contact resistance generated by silver sulfide, silver oxide or the other foreign matter generated by corrosion of the contact part of the level transmission unit is removed, the erroneous indication of the fuel gauge caused by the contact resistance of the contact part is prevented to more accurately notify the driver of the fuel residual amount information.
