To provide a fuel limiter for a diesel engine, which permits its installation in an existing engine because of its easier adjusting for installation, for preventing the generation of black smokes at rapid acceleration of the engine.
A governor spring urges through a governor lever a fuel- metering part toward the fuel-increasing side thereof, as well as the governor force is employed to urge the fuel-metering part toward the fuel-decreasing side thereof. The governor lever is arranged to control the tension of the governor spring. Outside a support wall 18 of the governor lever, a damper is opposed to a governor control lever 22a. The damper gradually recedes to its high-speed position H on receiving the governor control lever 22a at its contact part 12 at rapid acceleration, to thereby adapt the quantity of fuel to the quantity of intake air.
