Title:
FUEL PROPERTY DETECTION SYSTEM AND FUEL SUPPLY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3697934
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid decrease in fuel property estimation accuracy which results from factors other than fuel properties.
SOLUTION: In a transient state, a fuel supply quantity constitutes an input signal and an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas constitutes an output signal. Sampling means 54 samples data of the response waveform of the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas generated with respect to the feed quantity of the fuel being used. Based on these input and output data, estimation means 55 estimates the properties of the fuel being used, whereas in a range where the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas fluctuates due to factors other than fuel properties, inhibition means 57 inbits the sampling of the input and output data.
