Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformation system capable of supplying oxygen to a reforming reactor without using an air pump, in the fuel reformation system for reforming a fuel by using oxygen.SOLUTION: A fuel reformation system 1 for producing a reformed fuel including alcohol by reforming a fuel mainly composed of hydrocarbon by using oxygen, includes a mixer 2 for producing a mixture of oxidation gas and fuel, a reforming reactor 3 in which a reforming reaction progresses under action of a reforming catalyst when the air-fuel mixture is supplied from the mixer 2, and an oxidation gas supply device 4 for supplying a part of intake air flowing in an intake passage E1 of an engine E to the mixer 2 as the oxidation gas. The oxidation gas supply device 4 includes a main supply pipe 41 connecting a downstream side of a supercharger E3 disposed in the intake passage E1 and the mixer 2 in the intake passage E1, and an oxygen enrichment device 46 disposed in the main supply pipe 41 and increasing oxygen concentration of the oxidation gas supplied to the mixer 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
