Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming system capable of excellently improving fuel efficiency while suppressing the deterioration of a fuel reforming catalyst.SOLUTION: A fuel reforming system reforms fuel to produce reformed gas including hydrogen. The fuel reforming system includes: a reforming supply flow path; a fuel reforming catalyst arranged in the reforming supply flow path; fuel supply means arranged in the reforming supply flow path at its further upstream side than the fuel reforming catalyst for supplying the fuel to the fuel reforming catalyst; secondary air supply means arranged in the reforming supply flow path at its further upstream side than the fuel reforming catalyst for supplying air to the fuel reforming catalyst; and control means for controlling the fuel supply means and the secondary air supply means. The control means brings the fuel supply means and the secondary air supply means into operation to supply the fuel and the air to the fuel reforming catalyst so that combustion reaction is made between the fuel and the air to promote moisture vapor reforming reaction in the fuel reforming catalyst.
