Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can maximally perform sound reduction control for reducing a collision sound which is generated at the valve-opening of a metering valve of a high-pressure fuel pump.SOLUTION: A fuel pump control device for controlling a metering valve comprises: a valve member which permits the suction of fuel into a pressurization chamber of a high-pressure fuel pump by moving in a valve-opening direction, and permits the pressurization of the fuel which is sucked into the pressurization chamber by moving in a valve-closing direction; and an electromagnetic actuator having a movable member for moving the valve member in a valve-opening/closing direction, and moving the movable member in the valve-opening direction when blocked in electricity-carrying, and moving the movable member in the valve-closing direction when carried with electricity. A reduction control part of the fuel control device performs sound reduction control in S412 for blocking electricity-carrying to the electromagnetic actuator after a finish of a pressure-sending stroke, carrying electricity to the electromagnetic actuator during the movement of the movable member in the valve-opening direction, and after that, blocking the electricity-carrying to the electromagnetic actuator once again. A period setting part of the fuel pump control device sets an executable period in which the reduction control part can start the execution of the sound reduction control in S400, S404 to S410.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
