To provide a fuel pump that supplies fuel to an internal combustion engine and a sub-tank from two rows of pump passages formed at radially shifted positions, to prevent excessive supply amount of fuel from the fuel tank to the sub-tank by taking into consideration the fuel discharge amount and fuel pressure of the pump passages, and to prevent lowering of an oil level of the sub-tank.
Vane grooves 74, 76 are formed in two rows along a rotative direction. The pump passages 202, 206 are formed along the vane grooves 74, 76 in the rotative direction of an impeller 70. Fuel for the sub-tank is supplied from the pump passage 202 to the internal combustion engine, and fuel for a fuel tank is supplied from the pump passage 206 to the sub-tank. When passage areas of the pump passages 202, 206 are S1, S2, and diameters of the pump passages 202, 206 with the rotational axis of the impeller 70 as the center, are D1, D2, they are set as follows: 0.6(S2D2)/(S1D1)0.95.
