To prevent reduction of a discharge flow rate at a high air temperature period, in a fuel pump for an internal combustion engine consisting of a regeneration pump.
A given range from the starting end of a pump flow passage forms a fuel introduction part 43 and a following part forms a boosting flow passage part 44. The upper inside part of the fuel introduction part 43 consists of a vapor reservoir part 45 the middle part of which has a specified depth D1 deeper than the depth D2 of a boosting flow passage part 44; and a guide part 46 having depth gradually decreased from the vapor reservoir part 45 toward the boosting flow passage part 44. Vapor contained in liquid fuel sucked in the fuel introduction part 43 gathers in a vapor reservoir part 45. Thereafter, the liquid fuel flows a bit by a bit from the vapor reservoir part 45 to a guide part 46 along with rotation of an impeller 25 and when the liquid fuel flows in the boosting flow passage part 44, it is bled through a vapor bleed hole 47.
