Abstract:
To provide a small fuel pump; to realize a fuel tank assembled with the small fuel pump; to increase a freedom degree of design of the fuel tank; and to improve the tolerance range of components in the fuel pump.
The fuel pump is provided with a housing having a cavity and a driving shaft, and an electric motor rotor and an annular impeller held in the cavity so as to rotate around the driving shaft. The impeller is driven by the rotor rotating around the driving shaft, and is supported in the cavity separately from the rotor. The rotor is provided with a driving member, and the impeller is equipped with a driven member arranged so as to engaged with the driving member, and the impeller is rotated in accordance with rotation of the rotor.
