Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump in which a press-fit part of a cover end and a bearing part can be cut and processed with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A cover end 30 has a press-fit part 31 which is press-fitted inside a housing 10 on an outer edge. An impeller is provided at one end of a shaft 52, and sucks a fuel from a suction part and pressurizes it by rotating with the shaft 52. A bearing part 33 is provided on a center axis Ax of the cover end 30, and bears the other end side of the shaft 52. A discharge part 36 protrudes in a cylindrical shape from an end surface 35 on the opposite side from a pump cover of the cover end 30, it is formed integrally with the cover end 30 so that a supply pipe 2 can be connected, and it discharges the fuel pressurized by the impeller. Specified shape parts 81, 82, 83 are formed in a circumferential direction of the cover end 30 integrally with the cover end 30 so as to protrude from the end surface 35 on the opposite side from the pump cover 20 of the cover end 30, and each of them is separated from the discharge part 36 by predetermined distance d1 or more.
