Abstract:
The fuel pump (10) has a pump piston (12) supported in a pump cylinder (11) in movable manner. The pump piston has an opening (14), which is cooled from inside by the pump piston. The opening is formed as closed opening and is partly filled with the cooling medium (15). The cooling medium (15) causes by the movement of the pump piston (12) is moved in the opening.
