PURPOSE: To easily regulate the fuel injection timing by providing a shuttle hole which is communicated with a pumping means and equipped with a shuttle in a rotary distributor type fuel pumping device, and communicating the shuttle hole to the low pressure side by a valve means.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of plungers 12, 20 to be operated by a cam follower 21 are fitted into horizontal holes 11, 19 formed in a rotary distributor member 10 to be synchronously rotated with an engine, and a pumping chamber demarcated in the middle of the plunger 12 is connected to each injection nozzle from a passage 13 through a feed passage 14 and a plurality of outlet nozzles 15. A plurality of inlet ports 17 to be connected to the outlet of a low pressure fuel pump 18 and a successively matching inlet passage 16 branch off from the passage 13. A cut hole 26 in which a valve member 27 extending across the holes 11, 19 is fitted in is connected to a shuttle chamber 33 by a passage 32, and the shuttle chamber 33 is communicated with the low pressure side by a valve means 38.
