Abstract:

To heighten governor accuracy and extend the longevity of a fuel injection pump by providing an oil receiver along an opening edge part of a lubricating oil through-hole opened in a partition wall, and discharging lubricaitng oil, splashed by rotating flight weights, to a pump storage chamber from the lubricating oil through-hole.

A lubricating oil through-hole 18 is opened in a partition wall 3, in a position along the peripheral edge 17 of a rotating area 16 of flight weights 10 from the parallel view to the rotational center axis 15 of the flight weights 10, and an oil receiver 19 is provided along an opening edge part. Lubricating oil accumulated in an inner bottom part of a governor storage chamber 2 adheres to the surface of the rotating flight weights 10 and is splashed outward by centrifugal force so as to hit the oil receiver 19. The lubricating oil is then discharged to a pump storage chamber from the lubricating oil through- hole 18, and the lubricating oil splash quantity is reduced. The lubricating oil splashed by the flight weights 10 is fed as fine oil drops to the pump storage chamber from the lubricating oil through-hole 18. Governor accuracy is thereby heightened, and the longevity of a fuel injection pump is extended.
