Abstract:
To prevent chars from being discharged together with reduced oxygen carrier particles.SOLUTION: A fuel reaction tower comprises: a mixing chamber (41) in which a first fluid bed (61) where oxygen carrier particles (4) fluidize is formed, and which is configured to thermally decompose supplied solid fuel (7) in the first fluid bed; and a separation chamber (42) which is separated from the mixing chamber via a partition wall (43), in which a second fluid bed (62) where the oxygen carrier particles fluidize is formed, and which is configured to discharge reduced oxygen carrier particles (5). The fuel reaction tower has a solid component return structure (44) configured to make a superficial velocity of gasification agent (19) supplied to the mixing chamber faster than a superficial velocity of the gasification agent supplied to the separation chamber, making a bed height (H2) of the second fluid bed higher than a bed height (H1) of the first fluid bed, and then returning to the first fluid bed at least a part of solid component floated and separated on the second fluid bed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
