PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a reforming system and to facilitate the heat recovery of reformed gas and combustion exhaust gas, by alternately arranging reforming parts filled with a reforming catalyst and heating parts and providing a laminar gas channel at the outside of the heating part.
CONSTITUTION: A reforming raw material 1 is introduced into a gas channel 6 having a heating layer at one side and the preheated raw material 1 is introduced through a collection pipe 12 into a reforming part of a laminar space containing alternately disposed heating parts and reforming parts separated from each other with partition walls 5. Separately, a premixed fuel 2 is transferred through a fuel-supplying pipe 7 having a number of nozzle holes and supplied to heating layers filled with a combustion catalyst layer 3. The supplied fuel is burnt to heat the reforming catalyst layer 4 and exhausted as a combustion exhaust gas 8 from an exhaust pipe. The reforming raw material 1 is made to react with the reforming catalyst 4 to obtain a hydrogen-rich reformed gas 9.
