Abstract:
To ensure combustibility, safety, and efficiency at reforming fuel.SOLUTION: A fuel reforming device 100 includes a fuel tank 1 and a reformed fuel tank 3 for storing fuel of an internal combustion engine 5, a reformer 2 for reforming the fuel supplied from the fuel tank 1 in accordance with a temperature, a heater 8 for adjusting the temperature of the reformer 2, a first flow passage for guiding the reformed fuel to a gaseous phase in the fuel tank 1, a second flow passage for guiding the reformed fuel to the reformed fuel tank 3, a selector valve 18 for opening one of the first and second flow passages, an outside air temperature sensor 19 for detecting an outside air temperature, and a controller 20 for controlling the selector valve 18 and the heater 8 on the basis of the outside air temperature. The controller 20 controls the selector valve 18 to open the first flow passage when the outside air temperature exceeds a prescribed temperature at starting of the internal combustion engine 5, and controls the selector valve 18 to open the second flow passage and controls the heater 8 on the basis of the outside air temperature when the outside air temperature is equal to or less than the prescribed temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
