Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming method and a fuel reforming device which correct a fuel injection amount according to a fuel type.SOLUTION: When improving thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine by reforming at least a portion of fuel into hydrogen through a chemical reaction on a reforming catalyst in a fuel reformer and burning gas containing the hydrogen in an internal combustion engine with intake air mixed therewith, a fuel reforming device: estimates a hydrogen concentration of the gas by diagnosing a fuel type and predicting a hydrogen generation amount subject to the fuel type; and corrects an amount of the fuel injected into the fuel reformer on the basis of the hydrogen concentration of the gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
