Abstract:
To provide a fuel reforming system capable of highly accurately generating reformed fuel having a targeted octane number.SOLUTION: A fuel reforming system 1 includes: a reformer 3 for oxidation reforming of a fuel mainly composed of hydrocarbon; an unreformed fuel supply device 5 for supplying unreformed fuel to the reformer 3; a reformed fuel tank 711 for storing reformed fuel flowing out from the reformer 3; a reformed fuel resupply device 75 for supplying reformed fuel stored in the reformed fuel tank 711 to the reformer 3; a physical property sensor 719 for detecting physical properties of the reformed fuel stored in the reformed fuel tank 711; octane number estimation means for estimating an octane number of the reformed fuel stored in the reformed fuel tank 711 on the basis of a detection value obtained by the physical property sensor 719; and control means for controlling a ratio between the supply amount of the unreformed fuel supplied to the reformer 3 and the supply amount of the reformed fuel on the basis of an estimated value obtained by the octane number estimation means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
