This system is provided with a control means (on-vehicle control unit 7) for calculating fuel economy of a vehicle 1 and a fuel saving amount desired to the driver based on a measured engine speed, accelerator opening, a vehicle speed, a fuel flow rate and an engine load; and a display means 8. The control means (on-vehicle control unit 7) calculates the fuel economy, fuel economy in average traveling, fuel economy in target traveling, and the fuel saving amount desired to the driver from the measured vehicle speed, the engine speed, the engine load and the passing time, and at least one of the fuel economy in the target traveling, information of the fuel saving amount desired to the driver, and evaluation on the way of driving is displayed on the display means 8.
