This device calculates present residual fuel amount remaining within the fuel tank from residual fuel amount of prescribed amount existing at a point of time when a fuel warning lamp lights, fuel consumption amount per prescribed time and elapsed time from the point of time when the fuel warning lamp lights, also calculates the travelable distance from fuel consumption amount per prescribed time and the present residual fuel amount, and lowers drivability than that at a normal time when the travelable distance is below the prescribed distance.
