Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel storage system in which a substantial mass of liquefied gas fuel filled or stored in a fuel tank is increased while preventing liquid injection, and an increased amount of a mass of the liquefied gas fuel is utilized to a traveling distance of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A fuel storage system heats DME (dimethyl ether) by a fuel heating part 41 so that a detection value of a temperature sensor 5 and a detection value of a pressure sensor 4 are brought into super critical states exceeding a critical point of the DME in a fuel tank 2. Then, the DME in the super critical state exceeding the critical point is filled or stored in the fuel tank 2. Thus, a fuel filling amount in the fuel tank 2 can be increased compared to the case in which the DME is filled or stored in the fuel tank 2 in a liquid phase state while regulating an upper limit of the fuel filling amount. Thus, a substantial mass of the DME which is filled or stored in the fuel tank 2 can be increased, so that an increase amount of a mass of the DME can be utilized to a traveling distance of a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
