PURPOSE: To secure the output of an engine at both high and low lands at the time of acceleration so as to improve operational performance by constituting the value of engine revolutions by which the establishment of a condition for a specified low rotation is set, to be set lower as atmospheric pressure is lower.
CONSTITUTION: An atmospheric pressure sensor 12 detecting atmospheric pressure is electrically connected with an ECU 5 so as to let atmospheric pressure signals be outputted for computing the first specified value of engine revolutions depending on atmospheric pressure so that the first specified value is set to be smaller as atmospheric pressure is lower. When an engine 1 is operated at high lands, the range of engine revolutions controlling an air throttle valve 7 to be closed forcively is therefore narrowed so as to let the air throttle valve 7 be opened from a lower rotation side for accelerating the timing to increase intake air flow, thereby enabling the lack of intake air flow to be prevented at the time of acceleration followed so as to be capable of securing the desired output of the engine.
