PURPOSE: To prevent wear of constituent parts of a fuel pump by removing dust in return fuel an maintain the performance of the pump of brand-new for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel supply device for internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel pump 4 which sucks fuel in a fuel tank 3 and boosts up pressure, a fuel feed passage 18 which communicates with a discharge port of the fuel pump 4 and communicates with a fuel line 60 connected to an internal combustion engine, a branched passage 19 which is branched from the fuel feed passage 18, and a pressure regulator 22 which is connected to the branched passage 19, adjusts pressure of fuel which is fed to the internal combustion engine, and returns excess fuel into the fuel tank 3. A return fuel filter 39 is provided in a fuel return passage 34 of the pressure regulator 22 to remove dust in the fuel which returns into the fuel tank 3.
