Abstract:
To provide a fuel supply device capable of reducing the wear of a drive cam and/or a tappet without causing a large-sized and heavy weight construction of the device.
This fuel supply device 6 is provided with the tappet 28 which has a pressure receiving surface 28a contacting with the drive cam 41 of an engine and receiving the force of the drive cam 41 and transmits the force to a piston 26, wherein the tappet side wall 28c near the periphery of the pressure receiving surface 28a is furnished with a groove 5 for preventing local concentration of stresses in the tappet 28 in such a way as having a V-shape, semicircular, or U-shaped section.
