To provide a fuel supply pump including a fixture for fixing a valve piston and a spring seat which is improved in wear resistance and whose production cost is reduced.
In the fuel supply pump including a fuel pressurization chamber for pressurizing a fuel and a fuel intake valve through which the fuel is supplied to the fuel pressurization chamber, the fuel intake valve includes a valve body provided with a discharge port through which the fuel is discharged in the fuel pressurization chamber, a valve piston for opening and closing the discharge port, a spring which is retained at its one end by the valve body to apply an energizing force in the direction in which the valve piston closes the valve, and a spring seat for retaining the other end of the spring. A through-hole which penetrates the valve piston in a direction perpendicular to the open/close direction of the valve piston is provided at the end on the spring seat side of the valve piston, a rod-shaped fixture is inserted into the through-hole, and the spring seat is fixed between the spring and the fixture to the valve piston.
