To prevent fluctuation of a fuel injection amount for the same valve open time of an injector by restraining pressure pulsation of fuel inside a fuel piping in a fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine.
In this system, pressure mitigating device 5 connected to a high pressure fuel piping is provided, and damper chamber 11 is formed inside the pressure mitigating device 5, valve bodies 12, 13 are provided to openings 9a, 10a of partitions 9, 10, respectively, whereby urging in a valve close direction is always performed by a spring 14. When a high pressure part comes to an inlet of the damper chamber 11, the valve element is positioned to open the valve, and the high pressure is enclosed and absorbed in the damper chamber 11. When a low pressure part comes to the inlet, the high pressure part is discharged gradually via a restriction opening 12a or 13a and the low pressure part is canceled. Accordingly, pressure pulsation of a fuel can be reduced.
